Concrete Lifting in American Fork, Utah
With Mount Timpanogos in the background and American Fork Canyon just up the road, American Fork is a great place to come home to, unless coming home means stepping over a sunken sidewalk square or up a front step that has started to tip. Uneven concrete is one of the most common trip hazards around any home, and it tends to get worse each winter.
Utah Concrete Lifting & Repair lifts sunken concrete in American Fork with polyurethane foam. We're a family-owned business based in Mapleton. Owner Drew Hubbard is a licensed and insured General Contractor (Utah license 12877564-5501, B100) with more than 20 years of building homes and working with concrete.

Start with safety: the spots to check around your home
Take a slow walk around your property and look for these warning signs:
-
A raised edge between sidewalk or walkway squares. Even a small lip can catch a toe, especially for kids and older relatives.
-
Front steps that rock, tilt, or have pulled away from the house or porch. Steps carry the most foot traffic and the most risk if they shift.
-
A driveway panel that sits lower than the garage floor or the next panel. You'll feel it as a bump when you pull in, and it catches snow shovels and plows.
-
Water that pools on the concrete or runs toward your foundation. A slab that has tipped the wrong way can send water toward your house.
-
A hollow sound or a visible gap under the edge of a slab. That usually means the ground underneath has washed out or settled.
If you spot any of these, it's worth a free estimate. There's no minimum job charge, so a single bad step or sidewalk square is a perfectly good reason to call.
What we lift in American Fork
Steps and stoops
In many cases we can lift and level concrete steps instead of breaking them out and re-pouring.
Sidewalks and walkways
We lift the low panel so it sits flush with the panels around it, removing the trip hazard.
Driveways and garage floors
Lifting a sunken driveway panel or garage floor section gets rid of the bump and helps water drain the right way.
Patios and pool decks
Back patios and pool decks that have settled can often be brought back to level.
How polyurethane lifting works
-
We drill small holes, about 3/8 inch across, in the sunken slab.
-
We inject high-density polyurethane foam underneath it.
-
The foam expands, fills the voids, and lifts the slab back into position.
-
We patch the holes.
-
The foam cures in 15 to 30 minutes, so you can use your concrete almost right away.
Our foam is 100% hydrophobic, so it won't wash out with snowmelt or sprinkler water. Learn more about the material on our why polyurethane injection page.

American Fork concrete lifting FAQ
Can you fix just one step?
Yes. There's no minimum job charge, and the estimate is free.
Is concrete lifting messy?
Not compared with replacement. There's no jackhammering or hauling away old concrete. We drill small holes, inject the foam, patch the holes, and review the work with you.
Will my concrete sink again?
Polyurethane fills the voids that let the slab drop and won't wash out, but lifting doesn't change the soil itself. Good drainage helps a lot. And if a lifted slab settles more than 1/4 inch within three years, our warranty covers lifting it again.
What if my concrete is badly broken?
If it's crumbling or broken into many small pieces, lifting isn't the right fix, and we'll tell you honestly. Find more answers on our FAQ page.
