Concrete Lifting in Park City, Utah

From Old Town to Prospector, Kimball Junction, Jeremy Ranch, and Pinebrook, Park City concrete goes through long, snowy winters. Freeze-thaw cycles let water get under slabs, freeze, expand, and leave gaps behind. Over time, driveways, walkways, patios, and steps settle into those gaps and become uneven.

Utah Concrete Lifting & Repair serves Park City from our home base in Mapleton. We're a family-owned company, and owner Drew Hubbard is a licensed and insured General Contractor (Utah license 12877564-5501, B100) with more than 20 years of building homes and working with concrete. We lift sunken slabs back into place with high-density polyurethane foam, which typically costs 50% to 80% less than replacement.

If you own a second home or rental in Park City

Not every Park City property owner lives there full time. If you're managing a second home or rental from somewhere else, here's how to make it easy:

  • Start with photos. Have a property manager, neighbor, or guest text photos of the problem concrete to (385) 398-9886.

  • Plan for access. We need to reach the slabs, with vehicles, furniture, and planters moved off and sprinklers in the area turned off that day. Tell us about any drains or lines under or next to the concrete.

  • Fix trip hazards before guests arrive. An uneven walkway or front step is a fall risk for people who don't know it's there. There's no minimum job charge, so one bad step is worth fixing.

Park City concrete jobs we handle

Driveways

A sunken driveway panel catches snowplows and shovels and can trap water that turns to ice. We lift it back into line.

Walkways and sidewalks

We remove trip hazards between squares on front walks and paths to the door.

Steps

Concrete steps that have tipped or settled can often be lifted and leveled instead of torn out.

Patios, pool decks, and garage floors

Patios that slope toward the house, uneven pool decks, and sunken garage floor sections can often be brought back to level.

A note on decorative concrete

Some Park City homes have stamped, colored, or sealed concrete. Lifting is often still an option, but the patched 3/8-inch holes may be more noticeable than on plain gray concrete. Bring it up during your estimate so we can talk through how the finished job will look.

How polyurethane lifting works

  1. We drill small holes, about 3/8 inch across, in the sunken slab.

  2. We inject high-density polyurethane foam underneath.

  3. The foam expands, fills voids, and lifts the slab back into position.

  4. We patch the holes.

  5. The foam cures in 15 to 30 minutes, so you can use your concrete almost right away.

The foam is 100% hydrophobic, so spring snowmelt won't wash it out. We lift year-round, too. The foam creates its own heat as it reacts, so it can go in when the ground is cold, as long as the slab is clear enough to work on safely. More on the material: why polyurethane injection.

Yes. Park City is one of our listed service areas, along with all of Utah County, Salt Lake City, and Nephi.

Can you lift concrete in winter?

Yes, as long as the slab is clear enough to work on safely. The foam creates its own heat as it cures.

How soon can the driveway be used?

The foam cures in 15 to 30 minutes after injection.

Does lifting fix crumbling concrete?

No. Lifting works on slabs that are in one piece or a few solid pieces. If yours is crumbling or broken into many small pieces, we'll tell you it needs replacement. More on our FAQ page.
