Concrete Lifting in Heber City, Utah
Winter in the Heber Valley means plenty of snow, plenty of shoveling, and plenty of freeze-thaw cycles. When water gets under a slab, freezes, and expands, it leaves gaps behind when it thaws. Over time the concrete settles into those gaps. The result is a driveway panel that catches the snowplow, a sidewalk square that trips guests, or front steps that tilt.
Utah Concrete Lifting & Repair now serves Heber City. We're a family-owned company based in Mapleton in Utah County, a drive up Provo Canyon from Heber. Owner Drew Hubbard is a licensed and insured General Contractor (Utah license 12877564-5501, B100) with more than 20 years of building homes and working with concrete. We lift sunken slabs with polyurethane foam, which typically costs 50% to 80% less than replacing the concrete.
Why fix uneven concrete before (or during) winter
Uneven concrete is a bigger problem when there's snow on the ground:
-
Shovels and plows catch raised edges, which makes clearing harder and can chip the concrete.
-
Low spots collect water that freezes into slick ice patches.
-
Trip hazards hide under snow, so guests can't see them.
-
Water can flow toward your home when a slab has tipped the wrong way.
The good news is that we lift concrete year-round. The polyurethane foam creates its own heat as it reacts, so it can be installed even when the ground is cold, as long as the slab is clear enough for us to work on safely.
What we lift in Heber City
Driveways
Lifting a sunken driveway panel removes the bump, helps it drain, and gives your shovel or plow a smoother path.
Sidewalks and walkways
We lift low sidewalk and walkway squares to eliminate trip hazards.
Steps
Concrete steps that have settled or pulled away from the house can often be lifted and leveled instead of replaced.
Patios and garage floors
Patios that tilt toward the house and sunken garage floor sections can often be brought back to level.
How the process works
We drill small holes about 3/8 inch across (roughly a dime), inject high-density polyurethane foam under the slab, and let it expand to fill the voids and lift the concrete. Then we patch the holes. The foam cures in 15 to 30 minutes, so you're back on your driveway almost right away. Because the foam is 100% hydrophobic, it won't wash out with spring snowmelt. Compare it with mudjacking in Polyjacking vs. Mudjacking in Utah.
To help keep water out from under your slabs, you can pair lifting with our crack and joint caulking service.

Heber City concrete lifting FAQ
Can you lift concrete in a Heber winter?
Yes. We lift year-round. The foam generates its own heat as it reacts, so cold ground isn't a problem, but the slab needs to be clear enough to work on safely.
Is there a minimum job?
There's no minimum job charge. A fuel surcharge may apply for remote jobs like Heber City.
How can I get a quicker estimate?
Text photos of the problem concrete to (385) 398-9886. List every slab you want looked at so we can cover them all in one trip.
Will the patches stand out?
The holes are about 3/8 inch and patched with a mix chosen to blend in. On colored or stamped concrete, patches may be more noticeable, so bring it up during your estimate. See our FAQ page for more.
